#Georgetown was established by British East India company in 1786 as a major port. The architect of old buildings here perfectly represent its long association with British.
Building like Fort Cornwallis, Town hall, Victoria memorial clock tower, many churches are true example of British Colonial Architecture. Also, old town was declared a Unesco world heritage site in 2008.

#Peranakan Mansion is a museum in #Gerogertown, #Penang which is dedicated to Peranakan heritage of #Malaysia. Here one can experience the lavish Peranakan life. Many Chinese migrants came to Malaysia during colonial time, later married to malay women. There next generations are called Peranakan. #Throwback #Malaysia #Georgetown is famous for it #Throwback #Malaysia
#Georgetown is famous for it's street art. Mostly we talk about street paintings of Georgetown but Steel-rod caricatures are unique feature of this city. More than 50 caricatures have been installed on corners of important streets. These caricatures tell us the story and history of that particular street.
